The Tech Day Planning Committee invites you to join our dynamic team of student leaders and planners for Tech Day 2007! We are looking for energetic and dedicated engineering-student leaders to fill key roles in our year-round planning for this important event.

We are holding an informational mass meeting to recruit new team members and to showcase the many leadership opportunities offered to you.

Yang Wei is an internationally known musician who is a master of the ancient Chinese stringed instrument known as the pipa. He will play for us and also speak to us about the fascinating history of the pipa and its role in Chinese culture. The pipa was adapted from the Middle Eastern instrument, the oud, “which Chinese musicians became familiar with through the global trade routes of the ancient world.”

This is a corporate info session put on by SWE. Weather Underground is a local company that has a national online weather service. I use their site, I think it's better than the rest. Hopefully their food won't disappoint.

Panelists will explore issues of significance to University of Michigan students, staff and faculty with a focus on how to create positive change in the community. The audience will be encouraged to participate in the discussion.
